In October of 2015 my wife and I moved from a 2,400 square foot ranch in Westlake to a 1,000 square foot condo in down town Austin. It is something both of us have wanted to do for many years.
My wife and I are in our mid and early 40s and have lived all over. I am originally from Wales in the UK and moved to the US in 1999. Since being in the US, I have lived in Cleveland OH, Columbus OH and now Austin TX (since 2010). I have lived in the remote countryside, small towns and the suburbs. I have had a life long yearning to live in the city which is what sparked our move.
My wife grew up in LA and moved to Houston when she was seven. She attended UT Austin and has lived in Austin ever since. She brings authenticity to our Austin credentials.
This goal of this Blog is to describe our experiences in moving as well as what it is like to live downtown.
